Full Stack Engineer
Build production-grade client platforms end to end, with AI as your force multiplier. You'll own features from database schema to polished UI across fintech, food-tech, and AI products, shipping fast and verifying everything you ship.
About the Role
We're looking for a high-agency generalist who is genuinely full stack and operates like it's 2026: you drive coding agents like Codex and Claude Code hard, then hold their output to a higher bar than your own. You should be comfortable designing a Postgres schema in the morning, having an agent scaffold a FastAPI endpoint and its tests over lunch, and personally reviewing, tightening, and shipping the React/Next.js interface that consumes it before the day is out. The leverage AI gives you is real, but it cuts both ways: the engineers who thrive here are the ones who move fast AND build the testing infrastructure to prove their work is correct. We don't trust code because an agent wrote it or because it looks right; we trust it because it's covered by tests, exercised against real cases, and reviewed by a human who understands it. You'll work in small, senior teams that own a product outright, make real architectural decisions, and ship serious systems (trading platforms, payment infrastructure, AI agents, real-time data products). High agency means you don't wait to be told what to do, you find the next most important thing and do it, and you own the outcome end to end, not just the diff.
What You'll Do
Ship features end to end (data model, backend APIs, frontend UI) at high velocity using Codex, Claude Code, and other AI tooling as a daily multiplier
Hold AI-generated code to a high bar: read every line you ship, refactor it, and never merge what you do not understand
Build and extend the testing infrastructure (unit, integration, end-to-end) that makes moving fast safe, and actually run it to verify your work
Write well-tested, idempotent APIs in FastAPI (Python) or Node/TypeScript with meaningful coverage, not coverage theater
Build responsive, accessible interfaces with React, Next.js, and Tailwind CSS
Give and receive rigorous code review; treat review as the team's primary quality gate, especially for agent-authored changes
Verify before you call something done: reproduce the requirement, exercise edge cases, and confirm behavior in a real environment
Own delivery within 14-week client sprints from scoping to production handoff, instrumenting what you ship with logging and metrics
Requirements
3+ years building and shipping production web applications across the full stack
High agency: you take ownership, unblock yourself, and drive work to done without hand-holding
Daily, fluent use of AI coding tools (Codex, Claude Code, Cursor, or similar) with a clear-eyed sense of where they help and where they need a human
A genuine testing and verification habit: you write tests as you build and you actually verify behavior rather than assuming it works
Strong with React and a modern framework (Next.js preferred) plus TypeScript
Solid backend experience in Python (FastAPI/Django) and/or Node.js, with comfortable relational schema design and efficient SQL (PostgreSQL)
Thoughtful code reviewer who can spot subtle bugs, including ones AI confidently introduces
Nice to Have
You build your own AI workflows, custom agents, evals, or harnesses to ship and verify faster
Experience integrating LLMs or building AI-augmented product features in production
Exposure to fintech, food-tech, or healthtech domains and their compliance constraints
Familiarity with event-driven architecture, queues, or streaming systems
Comfort with Docker, CI/CD, and deploying to AWS or GCP
